Tel aviv gym commences self defense course for woman

Tel Aviv Gym Co active has come up with a proposal to impart the basics of self defense to woman. This move apparently seems to be a response to the alarming increasing in the number of women being raped. This program will help women to defend themselves in times of adversities. One of the tutors Dor poles mentioned that the course does not aim to make women masters in marital attacks but just attempts to equip themselves when they are attacked. Besides providing them with basic techniques lots of practical demonstrations and exercises are also conducted. The course is economically affordable as it costs just BIS 50.

Poles (another trainer) who have agreed to offer services to the program at free of cost expressed extreme happiness and assured with optimism and confidence that the program will be a great success. She further added that such skills are becoming mandatory to woman whose security remains a very big question mark in the current society. Apart from feeling proud of being a part of the noble venture this women trainer also asserted that she will impart the best of her skills to the learners of this program. She also said that this is a very serious issue as Isralel's most notorious rapist have fled from the custody of the sate and as well as said that it is only appropriate to have the event on International Day for the Elimination off Children against woman which is observed on the 3rd of December every year.

The management also disclosed the motivating forces behind the plans to start a unique course like this. One among them was the sudden increase of violence against woman though in different forms like gang rapes, sex assault, incest, and attacks. Similarly there are lots of representations from aggrieved woman in various centers. Most of the data revealed that the violence against them is only increasing and the therefore equipping them with self defense skills is the only resort. The Knesset Committee for the Rights of the Woman also released a shocking report which accounts for the number of woman murdered for the past 2 year. Statistical details reveal that the rates are increasing rapidly.
