Safety Tips for Female Travelers

Female travelers are advised to follow some of the safety tips while their travel which are as follows:

Avoid Unwanted Attention

  • Consider buying a wedding ring to avoid unwanted attention from men. Bring a gold (colored) ring along with you if you are traveling and wear it if you find that you have traveled to a place where men keep paying you unwanted attention. A travel security alarm can be carried if you feel threatened by this attention and will help you stay safe.
  • Avoid eye contact and act disinterested if a man keeps talking to you. In case of ongoing unwanted attention tell the person that you want to be left alone in a firm voice and show no fear. Seek out a crowded place and find a police officer. Before you can even speak to an officer, the source of your discomfort will have left the scene.
