A psychological study found that each individual has traits unique to them which determine who are selected as victims and who are passed over by criminals. For each person victimized there are likely many other who have been passed over by criminals. While you can't determine a predator based solely on physical characteristics since they often look like everyone else, there are some behavior characteristics that you can be aware of.
